John is a longtime Bay Area resident and photographer. Using analog and digital methods to document alternative cultures, typically in an urban environment, John cut his chops both in the street and in the studio. Self-taught and formerly a member of Full Frame Collective, he has worked as an editorial and commercial photographer in the cycling and fashion industry. Preferring a physical medium, his output is mainly in the forms of self-print publications, DIY zines and alternative print methods. His work has been displayed in group shows in San Francisco, Oakland, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, New York City and Tokyo. He has held solo exhibitions in San Francisco and Tokyo. John is focused on bringing new and alternative art to public spaces and shooting everyday. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration.
